Michael Tercero, Minister to Students & Young Families
Michael was born in San Angelo but lived in Germany, Washington state, and Massachusetts while his dad was in the military. At age 9, his family moved back to San Angelo. He attended Belaire and Fort Concho Elementary schools and Edison Middle School before graduating from Central High School in 2005.
Michael was introduced to the Lord through House of Faith when he was in 4th grade. At 19, he felt that he was being called to serve the Lord in ministry at which time he started working at House of Faith as part of the youth department team. He has been at House of Faith the last 12 years, working in different capacities but always building relationships with children, youth and families and planting seeds for the Lord.
He met his wife, Mindi, at House of Faith when she started to volunteer there in 2007. They married in 2014 and have one son, Clayton David Tercero.
Bill Gillum, Minister of Music
Bill brings over 40 years of ministry experience to FBC! He is a graduate of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and Baylor University and has a contagiously encouraging spirit to go along with his fine leadership background. He has led worship in churches throughout the state, including Corsicana, Katy, Spring, and Lubbock. Bill and his wonderful wife, Elaine, have been married since 1975 and have three children.
Here is a statement from Bill’s personal ministry statement which tells you a bit about his heart for ministry: “My gifts are relational. I am primarily an encourager. My years in ministry have sharpened my leadership and administrative abilities. I love people and always desire to help them set and achieve goals. The highest goal is always to draw closer to God and in the end to look more and more like Him.”
