The best way to get involved in the Adult Ministry at FBC San Angelo is to join one of our Adult Sunday School Departments that meet on Sunday Mornings at 9:00 a.m. This is just one of the ways that we try to equip all believer to be involved in the work of ministry. We believe that God has gifted each and every individual with gifts and interests in order to play a part in God’s reconciling work, and our prayer is that the Lord will lead you to the specific areas of ministry where you can use these gifts.
Sunday Morning Bible Study
First Baptist Church offers Sunday morning Bible study classes each week from 9:00 to 10:15 for all ages. Classes are grouped under gatherings called “Departments” and are loosely based on age. Departments also have classes for couples, men only, and women only. However, people are welcome to attend any class or department of their choosing. All Sunday classes are based on studying the Scripture, building strong relationships with peers, and applying biblical principles in serving others. If you have a question about which department/class to attend, please visit with Kevin Ray (Minister of Education and Administration), with one of our helpful greeters, or with a helpful Welcome Center volunteer. The Welcome Center is located in the church’s atrium, through one of the main entrances on Harris Ave.

Discover First Class
Discover First class occurs at least two times a year (in the spring and fall) and is led by Pastor James Hassell. This class is four weeks long and is a great, informal way to learn more about FBC San Angelo and to get to know our pastor and ministerial staff. We discuss the church’s heritage, Baptist beliefs, opportunities for involvement, and you receive a tour of our facilities.
